Grapevine TX - need hotel/atrractions info

My daughter will be participating in the State Track meet in Grapevine Texas next week. Would love any info someone can offer regarding hotel stay and attractions.

Wondered how far Six Flags is from Grapevine. Also heard Six Flags was flooded out a couple weeks ago. Wondering if they are back in business?

Driving to Grapevine from Houston Area, so won't need airfare or rental car.

My daughter and I went to the Grapevine Mills Mall for a day and a half. Stayed at one of the hotels that are literally on the property. I want to say it was an Embassy Suites. Just basic, clean, free breakfast buffet. Your daughter might love that mall like mine did. It's a mix of retail and outlet stores. I was in heaven in the Chico's Outlet Store...

Grapevine Mills is great! Amerisuites is right next to the mall. Embassy Suites is a little further away, across a down the street a bit.
I would REALLY encourage you to visit the huge Sam Moon Center at 635@I35E
It's not far at all from Grapevine and teenagers just love all the bargains.
Adults seem to love it too... if you are into purses and good costume jewelry you'll be in heaven.
6 Flags is fine and not too far from Grapevine for a visit.
Actually Grapevine is perfectly situated for whatever you want to do. It's not far to just about any destination in the DFW area.
Have fun...

Grapevine is not far from Six Flags. About 15 miles. AFAIK, Six Flags has reopened since the flood.

Thanks for the help. Amerisuites and Embassy Suites are already booked. They were offering special rates for those attending the Games of Texas. I was able to get a room at Hilton DFW Lakes on HWY 26East. They told me they were right across the street from the Mall. Has anyone stayed there?
