Hotel In Grapeville (Dallas Area)
We were thinking of staying at the Embassey Outdoor world but the prices for the time we'll be there are really high (around $200.00 a night). Was wondering if anyone could suggest another hotel in that area (Grapevine)or a nearby one that's nice and a little more reasonable (approx. $150 per night max). We'd really prefer a suite hotel that includes breakfast but would consider a regular room if the price was right. We'll have a car so transportation isn't a problem. Since we'll only be there for a few days we'll probably catch the 6th floor and spend a day in Ft. Worth.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

SGF: There were several threads about a month ago regarding hotels in the Grapevine area (near DFW.) Most of the questions were about the Hilton DFW or Gaylord Hotel, but there were a lot of other properties discussed and recommended. Go to the search box and type in "Hilton DFW", and I think you'll find some information that will help you. (I won't comment further, because I've only stayed at one hotel near Grapevine, and it was over 5 years ago.) Good luck!

Yes, it is Grapevine. (I live in this town!)
There are several "suite" hotels in that area: Amerisuites, Homewood Suites by Hilton, and the Hampton Inn & Suites.
Be sure and see downtown Grapevine while you are here. Main Street is lined with cute shops, and there is a gelato store called Flavors of Florence on the North end of Main Street that is to die for!

The Country Inn and Suites in Irving (DFW) South is nice. Has a breakfast, indoor pool, high speed internet, etc.. Not exactly the Hilton or Embassy but rooms are clean and the decor is adequate. Would definitely stay there again. Their website is www.countryinns.com.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll check them out but now we are wondering if we're better off staying in Las Colinas vs. Grapevine. Any opinions on which area is better?
We were thinking of staying at the Embassy Suites right by DFW originally as that rate is a lot lower than the Outdoor World Embassy (in Grapevine) but I spoke to a receptionist there and she said you do hear the noise from the planes and one of the people in our group is a very light sleeper so we scratched that idea. Would that be a problem with the hotels in Grapevine too since it's also close to DFW?
Also, if you had to choose would you stay at the Hilton Executive Convention Center or the Embassy near DFW?
