I once met a couple in Las VEgas who had done it the day before. They said it was the WORST day of their entire lives. Other people rave about it. I think it's going to be hard for anyone to tell you whether it is worth the time and money to YOU.

I don't think it would be horrible, but given our limited time, it might not be the best use of it!
Though, I imagine that it would be a good memory for the kids!

Never done it, but I have researched it. Don't know who is in your party, but riders have to be a certain age (no young kids) and under a certain weight (I think 200 lbs.) At the time I was researching it, 2 of our kids were too young and my husband weighed too much!
Also, be aware that weather conditions can cause the closure of the mule trails for months and months at a time. This happened a few years ago. (That left lots of room for the hikers, but it would be disappointed to plan a trip way in advance then have the trails closed when you are there.)
