gospel in harlem
Can anyone recommend where to go to experience gospel in harlem.
We would like to avoid bus tours and hordes of people if at all possible.
Happy to eat/ have brunch there or just go without food. All suggestions welcom

Most of the gospel in Harlem is actual church services - with the number of visitors limited (and behavior must be respectful to the congregation including appropriate dress as with any church service). There are some gospel shows (have no idea if food is available) - you might google to get info.

The Red Rooster has a gospel brunch now. Good luck getting reservations.
If it doesn,t have to be in Harelm, the Brooklyn Tabernacle is very good.
