Sunday Brunch for Large Group in Manhattan

We're going to be at least 10 people in NY for Sunday brunch. We want a place where we could make a reservation. Any suggestions?

Price range? (Upscale or nice neighborhood?)

And specific area of the city?

Atmosphere?

And for 10 you will need a reservation.

You might look at menupages.com for options.

Thalia at 50th and 8th has won numerous polls for best brunch. They take reservations and do great for groups. It's also an amazingly good bargain.

Roberto Passon, a block away from there is also a favorite for brunch and they'll take reservations as well.

Or if you're thinking of a great buffet brunch, it would be hard to beat Brasserie 8 1/2. It's elegant, fantastic food, and pleasant spacious surroundings.

Doesn't BBKing's do a Gospel Brunch? And also The Cotton Club?

I always like the Boat House which is in Central Park. You can make reservations but it is quite expensive but worth it IMHO.

A little different in that it is Latin food, but Calle Ocho on the UWS has a great brunch with like 8 or 10 types of free sangria. It's a great place for brunch with a large group.

Skylight Diner - www.skylightdinernyc.com
402 W 34th St
New York, NY 10001
(212) 244-0395

An honest-to-goodness diner, with beer and wine, the area in the back is easily configured for your size group (but not secluded) - just have somebody get there a half hour before everybody else and tell the staff what you need.

They will push tables together as they become vacant.

Works for all kinds of groups; good food, good prices, good location (a quick walk from Penn station), have done it successfully many times during trade shows etc. and will again.
