Good Spot for a Reunion of College Reunion Somewhere in New England?

Hi All - We need some help here. A group of college girlfriends (we're now three years out of school) want to get away for a long weekend sometime in June or July and we don't want to break the bank. Last year we went to Providence, but now we're looking for a place on the water somewhere in New England. One of us (me) lives in NYC, one lives in New Haven, and the rest all live in Boston. Since we spent our last weekend together in a city, we want to try something different this time. Does anyone have any recommendations for a relaxing weekend spot with some nightlife?

You could try the Norwich spa -- not on the water, but not too expensive and very relaxing. you could do one night at the inn for dinner (relaxed) and one night at one of the casinos (lively).

Consider Provincetown. The Boston folks could take the ferry and the NY folks could take metro north to New Haven and drive up together. Plenty of beach, night life, etc.

The Cape!
I like the idea of Provincetown and the Ferry from Boston is so easy.

I'd do either Newport or Block Island RI.

Oh, forgot to mention that we split our long weekend last time between Providence and Newport. Also, one of us is from the Cape and we spent some time there during the summer in college. I'll look into the other suggestions, though. Block Island sounds nice.

If you decide on Block, the NY and New Haven folks can take the train to New London, CT, the station is quite close to the ferry to Block.
