Nina, trashy is a much nicer word than my sister and brother in law use.
They are just like anyone else who lives in a tourist destination not financially dependent on tourism. They think tourists clog the roads, hog the good restaurants, etc. I imagine the pros outweigh the cons for them.

I see. I suppose it's just one of many places that's great to visit but you wouldn't want to live there. I can definitely understand that, but it's not trashy if your staying at the Delano, dining at Wish and partying at Tantra!
