what makes you think that when they finish building the condos on Berry Street I won't move in? Then I can watch the Giants win the pennant!

Tampa, then we may be neighbors -- I keep telling my husband I want one of the condos that actually looks INTO the park!

BUT the OP is talking about a Union Square hotel which would not be steps from a BART station.

Union Square Area means more than right on Union Square...take a look at the priceline zones as an example.

there is nit picking and then there is nit picking. I KNOW where the Square is, I know what the PL zones are -- I am just trying to HELP the OP.

IF they stay at Union Square they will not be right at a BART station. If they stay near Market street - they WILL be near a BART station.

derek74: It might help to know what your budget is before we suggest a hotel in the Union Square area.

If you know how to use Priceline, you can also get some really good deals near Union Square.

Tell us what range of price for the hotel you are looking for, then when you have selected the hotel, we'll be in a better position to also advise you on the distance from the BART station to that hotel.

Looking forward to your reply!

Sorry it took so long to reply, I was out of the office the past couple days. I booked a room at the hotel milano www.hotelmilano.com Close to the powell/market BART station.

TrvlMaven- thank you for your suggestion, I made a reservation for Thursday night. Any issues with going to the wineries on a Thursday? I was thinking it may be less crowded/more enjoyable on a weekday as opposed to a weekend.
