Ok this is my first time, here goes.

Rant - I really miss my 21 year old son, he's been in Japan since last September.

Rave - He finally comes home in three weeks.

Rant - People who believe killing innocent people will get them to "heaven".

Rave - The British Security - and also the Pakistani security. It seems the worked together on this and save hundreds of lives.

Rant - It's finally beautiful outside and I'm stuck inside working.

Rave - It's finally beautiful outside, and the weekend is almost here!

Ani: pretend I am hypnotizing you....regarding the thoughts of bringing a child into this world which is sometimes messed up -

FOCUS on the postive....your child will be brought up to care, be fair, and make a difference...congratulations on the pending arrival! Joy for you, joy for the world b/c he/she will be a wonderful addition to the planet !

Bennie:......a wonderful addition to the planet, like your two daughters are - caring and supportive and ones to be proud of !

Caph52:....quick ! like a flash! my youngest just turned 21 a few weeks before he left for India....
where did those pudgy pinchable cheeks go so fast??

Angethereader: Japan for almost a year...wow, and I am trying to figure out how to get through having my son in India for just 5 months !!

But, I am nervous but proud as he is studying for the first 3 mths and then an independent study with a group who travels doing self sustaining organic farming set ups around the world.....so maybe he will make a difference in his life helping the planet and all of us on it -

Rave: WOW ! Thanks to the many lovely
Fodorites who sent their good wishes to Mr R5. He was truly touched reading through all those e-mails and now I read a few more here-I will pass them on this eve.

Rant: Sadly, the pretty pup JJ will have to have her leg amputated as there
was just too much damage. She is back
from the ER vet and is tucked in at her regular vets'. JJ's "mom", Marie, is such a wonderful lady, she will let us visit next week. Say a prayer for a successful procedure for the pretty JJ.

Rave: That it is possible for pups to have happy lives with 3 legs.

Thanks again everyone for you kind words, especially at a time when the world is in such a troubled state~
Rave for the foiled plot !

R5

Thank you, Razzle for posting the update. I am glad Marie was willing to give her pup the chance to live. It will be an adjustment, but JJ can do it. YOu and Mr Razzle are my heroes, for caring and loving the pup so much. I guess that makes you my RAVE of the day.

OTTO: If you are time constrained, you can probably get BOW in the Buffalo airport. There's a restaurant that has Buffalo food....wings and such.

If time permits....I've heard Danny's has good food. It's just down a few blocks from the airport on Genesee Street.

http://www.dannysrestaurant.com/

Lots of restaurants on Union Road near the airport. Otto's. And there is another Anderson's location on Union Rd. as well.

Enjoy the wings, BOW, and your trip to Toronto. It's an awesome city!

You can get BOW in any restaurant really.

Enjoy

Buffalo Girl, Since you're giving restaurant advice, I'm curious, what is the name of the pizza place in your neighborhood that you "raved" about? Is it Bob and John's? I'm always looking for a new, good pizza place.

rant: thanks to excessive international travel (not the rant), I am on my period again, complete with really strong headaches and nausea.

rave: this came down after my vacation in Málaga and Madrid, which was an awesome experience (trip report on the Europe board).

rave: I slept in today for the first time in ages and it was just luxurious!

Rave: You all feel like friends, and I can't wait to log on to FFRR.

Rant: The minute I come home on TGIF, I log onto FFRR!

Rave: Went to AAA today, got maps to navigate our trip to SF and Sonoma.

To all you parents: re: school starting: remember these days, they are gone all too fast.

Rave: Intelligence/GB/USA/Pakistan!
