Hi Cigalcantra, yes SIL did may of those things you mentioned. Didn't happen to me, but her unfortunately. She contacted all the local news channels and one said if things were slow they would run a story (she hand delivered a photo). Also there is an ad in the local newspaper and she has posted $1000 reward/no questions asked signs all over the neighborhood. And SIL filled out a police report as well as visited the shelters and SPCA, etc. She even walked to every house in her neighborhood twice with her daughter so the thief could see how much pain this is causing the family. As mentioned above, they know the thief was a woman that knew Rusty's name, and she called the dog into the car. A neighbor saw it happen but didn't think anything of it because the dog was called by name. We also know it was a brown car. It's been 6 days. Will post back if we hear anything.

Just today I read that in the city south of me a man was walking his dog and was accosted by a couple (man and a woman) who put a knife to his throat and stole his dog. What is going on?
Life is getting stranger and stranger.

thanks for keeping me up to date on Rusty. I ache for a friend's child that the same thing happened but parents refused publicity. I say shame. When you are child, your dog is very important to you and the same as we who are older.

Marilyn - LOL!!
Bonniebroad - fantastic work! I'm hoping to get inspired. Most recently, though, I was inspired by the recipe for almond squares. I made them yesterday and they got completely devoured (not by me, thank heavens).

Meetshare, that is terrific that you made the Almond Squares, and are pleased with them. I think it was ANTS430 who has made them also, and really liked them....... Now don't say I never gave you anything! (Hope I don't give you a few pounds! )

Thanks for your support on "the *ponds* thing!" I am now recovering from Thanksgiving (those darned leftovers!)..... nose back to grindstone!
