Hopefully you've done enough research to realize that there are virtually no good beaches in the keys. The keys are coral, all beaches are made with imported sand, and most are tiny. In addition, most areas of the water by the shoreline are reedy and shallow. Sometimes it's difficult to find a hotel with a beach; it's probably going to be nearly impossible to find a house on a beach.

Sobster-yes, I've searched vrbo.com just can't seem to find what I'm looking for. To tell you the truth, I'd be happy w/just a pool and waterfront. Hubby is the one set on a beach. I just can't convince him that there really aren't any unless we want to pay an arm and a leg. He's hard headed that way. Thanks for your help everyone.

Century 21 has lots of listings. I've used Annie Collins as an agent in the upper keys. They also have an office in the middle keys. www.c21prestigeinthekeys.com
