Florida Keys Beaches
Hi all,
I know there are many posts on this subject already, but most are old. We are staying in Key West in July and I would like to hear which Florida Keys beaches are the best. Which beaches are "don't miss", which are "to be avoided", etc.
I have been to the Keys and I realize the beaches there are not the best but I would like to hear some opinions from all of you so that I can present my family with some options. We will have a car, so traveling to any Key will not be a problem.
Thanks all.

Well, the only decent beach I can think of is Bahia Honda.
The keys are a string of coral rock and have very few natural beaches.
Some hotels will import sand for manmade beach but if you are looking for beaches, look elsewhere.
The keys are the most fun by boat.

Bahia Honda! There are several beach areas in the park. Very soft powdery white sand, and the beach we sat on/kayaked on last year had brilliant swimming pool blue water, shallow til waaay out there. You can paddle to little islands nearby too. The whole park is great for exploring and we could've spent all our time there!
