The Ritz Carlton Sarasota

Hubby and I are Staying at the Ritz in Sarasota for a long weekend, at the end of the month. Reviews have been mixed. Just wondering if any of you have stayed there and what your thoughts were on the hotel
Thanks

My sister in law has stayed there during hurricanes and was very happy with the service. They have a generous pet policy so she was able to bring her dog. This hotel is reputed to be able to withstand a high category of storm, which is why she rode out the last hurricane there.

It's a beautiful hotel and has all the Ritz amenities.

I wonder, though, since you'll be going in late June if you might not prefer to be out on the island at the Key Club or The Colony on Longboat Key. It's cooler on the island, has beautiful beaches, Key Club has a golf course, and both places pamper you.

Thanks for the feedback. Both those resorts on LBK are booked. The Ritz has a beatiful beach club on Lido Beach. The reviews are very mixed. You don't know what to believe. Has anyone stayed at the Ritz sarasota. I welcome your opinions.

Yes, I've stayed there and it's lovely but I thought that you might prefer to stay on the beach instead of driving out to Lido Key. I know it's only 15 minutes but it's not like walking out your door or sitting on your balcony watching the sunsets!!

I was at the Ritz for a business meeting but, for me personally, I prefer the beach.

I also prefer the beach Greatsights. I wish I could get something right on the beach! I am going to keep trying. Thanks again.

Yeah, I could see how they would get mixed reviews.

We stayed at the RC and my trip report is kind of mixed too.
