Florida Keys at Christmas?

We are thinking of going to the Keys for Christmas this year. But I wonder if things will be open? We'd love to paddle board and hike, maybe snorkel. Will that be possible or will things be closed?

Thanks

There's not much hiking done in the keys, which are mostly very narrow. I'm not very familiar with keys other than Key West, but water sports are always available there. Depending on the weather, you might need a wetsuit, though.

Still planning a vacation trip? Here's a belated response
...our family had a Thanksgiving reunion in the Keys. We rented a spacious house on Cudjoe Key with a nice pool and backed up to a waterway. Several trips into Key West for sightseeing and dining. Of course things are open...this is the balmy Caribbean where they love tourists.

Everything will be open - but there is no guarantee of how warm the weather/water will be.

One more caveat: in very high season (like Christmas to New Years)prices in Key West will be hiked and minimum nights will be required - probably a 5 night minimum.
