fll to key west

wilmas' greek geek and goddess festival has been re-scheduled for 1st wknd in december! See keywest online. Fll airport is operating until 10pm. Need itinery to be out after 10pm. Still problems in fll on gas, but car rental places have full tanks and that will get you to the keys. us hwy 1 opening back tomarrow for vistors. I am taking once in a life time trip to the keys. Online looking for unique places to eat. Sloppy joes is a 4sure, maybe jose's cantina. looking for more information on mones in summerland key. Louie's backyard a possibility and conch republic. Going to take lots of photos and hubby going fishing, boat rental. Meeting ol pal from AZ in the keys! (also a 3 year delayed honeymoon, taking my son back from iraq with us!) Should be a blast, visting his brother and wife in the keys! Then back home to midwest and 20'. So will soak up some sun! Hope this info helps others!

Personally I wouldn't bother with Sloppy Joe's.

I wouldn't bother with eating at Sloppy Joes either, but you do need to stop and have a drink there. Check out http://www.schoonerwharf.com/ and the rest of these webcams http://webcam.keywest.com/ Blue Heaven is a place you have to eat at as is Schooner Wharf. You'll love Key West. I leave on Nov 5th.

To eat in Key West try Mangoes on Duval Street, Kelly's Carribbean Bar and Grill on Whitehead we have never had a bad experience at Kelly's. We love Camille's on Simonton Street and Abbondonza for real home cooked Italian at a good price. if you want to go Y
expensive try Lattitudes on Sunset Key, a experience like non other.
The best part about Key West is there are so many restaurants and bars and so little time.
Enjoy,

Talk about different opinions from different people. Our one meal at Mango's was overpriced and mediocre. Great people watching though. Haven't eaten at Kelly's in several years, last meal was just ok. I'd agree that Latitudes is like no other in Key West. A million rules. You can't leave the restaurant and see the rest of Sunset Key. Once again, for the price, I wasn't impressed with the food. This was at lunch though.

Camille's was on our list to try this past visit (two weeks ago), but we never made it. Next time....

We did have good meals at Half Shell, Finnegan's Wake, and surprisingly good salads and sandwiches at Fogarty's on Duval.

I was so surprised to hear the rules of Sunset Key,. We have been there four years in a row and every year that is the highlight of the dinner. We walk around the island, pick in the windows of the cottages, sit in a lounge chair by the beach and put our feet in the pool. We have never been given any rules just to be back in time for the last ferry of the night.

Don't forget the Key Lime pies! And don't limit yourself to just the Blond Giraffe (their version was too sweet for my taste buds).

I'm glad to read that things aren't so tightly regulated on Sunset Key. When we were there, we were met at the dock by a restaurant employee, and escorted to our seats. After our meal we were escorted back onto the boat.

Abbondonza is great for cheap Italian. Get one order and split it...they give you a ridiculous amount of food.

Pepe's is my all-time favorite KW haunt. Very local crowd.

Mangrove Mama's was great, but Wilma took them out.

On Big Pine (No Name Key), go to the No Name Key Pub. Great food and great atmosphere.
