Chicago - post-theater restaurant

My friends and I have a lovely package booked that includes both Wicked and Swan Lake in February. Wicked has a wine bar/cabaret pre-theater so we're looking for a late night dinner place. I entered after-theater dinner into the search engine and didn't get any hits. Is there anyone out there with late dining suggestions?

PDX, hope you enjoy your time here! Sounds like you have a wonderful agenda.

I know that Carnivale has late dining, as does Opera, but I'm not so sure how successful you'd be to get in the places.

Would you be interested in someplace with entertainment that also serves food? I'm thinking maybe you'd be interested in going to Andy's (on Hubbard) for jazz afterwards - they serve food as well.

Perhaps these suggestions may help!

Sorry for the late gratitude.....thank you for your help. It led me to a list of "late-night dining" which is what I should have been looking for, not post-theater. Now we're thinking blues music/dinner. I hope we can stay awake that long!

PDX, the only blues place I know of in close proximity that has any dining option (sandwiches and the like) is Buddy Guy's.

However, I happened upon another option for you. While at the Joan B. & Irving Harris Theatre (at Millennium Park) for a recent performance, I saw an advertisement for post-theatre dining at Aria. This would be an excellent choice for you, if your performances are on the weekend. Aria serves until 11pm then. And it's just a short cab ride away from both the Ford Center for the Performing Arts (aka Oriental) and the Cadillac Theatres - both are on Randolph.

Hope this information helps a bit!

oooh oooh oooh! Aria looks good! That would be a wonderful end to a wonderful evening. I'm going to pass this on to my friends and hope they agree. I read on the website that the chef did a stint at an Oregon Coast restaurant. He's kind of a home-boy. Thanks again for your advice. By the way, have you been to Aria?

Several times, but it's been a couple of months now (busy, busy schedule). Great each time.

Have fun!
