Chicago Steak House Charger Fans

Thought it would be fun to go to Harry Carry's. Are the steaks good??? Also looking at Mike Ditka's. I have looked at all the reviews and not seeing Harry Carry's?? Just 11 fans looking for a good time. Thank you

4Janet, the spelling is Harry Caray's. I've not had the steaks there - go elsewhere - so cannot comment.

If you are interested in going to Ditka's, though, recommend that you go in the evening and enjoy the singer. He is excellent.

Have fun!

Of course a good steak and prime rib is most important, but also would like a fun place too. I have read all reviews - Gibsons - Shaws

Most important good food. I have read reviews on Joes - Gibsons -Shaws - Wildfire. Just looking for a little fun and good food. We are staying at the Westin on Michigan Ave. So I'm really open to anything. The group for some reason are leaving the food and fun in my hands. Also thought this was a hard fought battle by the Chargers and Bears Sunday. Thanks Janet

Wildfire and Harry Carays are good. I'd recommend Gene & Georgetti's, a true old-school restaurant. If money's no object, try Morton's (this is the original, the one that spawned the chain).

Forget Harry Carey's. All hype. Strongly recommend Ditka's or Gibson's. Neither is a chain and the food is excellent. We REALLY like Ditka's.

When Da'coach is in town, he can usally be seen in the evening at his bar upstairs. Very nice guy.

Harry Caray's is OK for a dinner, but it's a little kitschy; if you really want the best, don't go there. All the options mentioned here are better.

I'm going to Keefer's steakhouse Saturday night; I'll let you know how it is.
