My dad just came in and told me that American had a glich and sold thousands of flight for $5 and they will honor them. Also, heard United had the same problem and sold flights to Rome for $25. Fact or fiction? Did anyone get on this bandwagon? Don't want to start any rumors but I'm curious.

There was an article in the Wall Street Journal yesterday that talked about super bargain flights on new airlines operating in europe. It mentioned flights between various major cities in europe on these airlines for similar extremely low prices. People might want to check it out.

I heard it was United that had the computer glitch yesterday & that tickets were selling for $5 & that United will honor them, they didn't know how many tickets were sold this way.

Heard in the news this morning - United were selling $25 tickets for 45 minutes till they discovered this mistake?glitch? They will honor all sold tickets.

I heard on the news that United was supposed to be offering a $5 discount per ticket (I can't remember why) but the person who entered this into their computers put $5 as the fare. It stayed there for about $45 minutes and apparently United says it will honor all those who booked during that time.
