Finger Lakes Wineries
We will be staying on Seneca Lake in Geneva, New York for a weekend. We wanted to spend an afternoon visiting wineries. We have visited wineries in France and Italy as well as the North Shore of Long Island. So we are particular. Are there any exceptionally good wineries we should try to visit?

Here is the wine trail:

The only winery I'm familiar with on that trail is Fox Run.
Probably the most famous Finger Lake winery is Dr. Konstantin Frank's Vinifera Wine Cellars, but that is on the Keuka Lake Trail.

When are you going? They have a nice wine festival July 18 weekend:

After visiting there, we tried several wineries in the area. There were some decent whites, but nothing I'd call memorable at the time (4 yrs ago) Dr Frank's are very good. We stayed at Glenora on Seneca Lake which had some pretty good wine, nice place to eat on their deck or in the main room.

You might consider Edgars at the Belhurst Castle... very elegant and noted for their food... have a look at www.belhurst.com
