Favorite destinations - other than beaches - on Kauai and/or Maui?

On Maui -
We also love Paia, especially the Paia Mercantile for non-touristy souviners and great professional pitures. The Paia Fish Market for great food ($9 for a huge fish sandwich)....
We loved Kihei (next to Wailea), it felt like a town one could live in...they have a great outdoor skating rink on the beach (open skating on sat nights). We found a new fave restaurant Wok Star...Lui Lui's fish taco was amongst our favorites.....
Watching the windsurfers in Ho'opika beach...
In Lahina, you can go to Betty's Beach cafe (505 Front St - at the way end of the main drag) and see the show at the Feast at Lele for FREE. You can order your own food, pay 1/3 the price and see the sunset and full show.
We are just back from 2 weeks and are planning the next trip back
