Entertainment book worth it?

What's the story with booking travel using the Entertainment Card? I see the hotel we want to stay in on Maui listed for 50% off the rack rates. But it says reservations cannot be made more than 30 days out, subject to availability, etc. If we book now (using a travel agent or Expedia), will we be able to get the discount? The same question for rental cars. I'm trying to determine if getting a package or using the Entertainment card is a better deal.

I can tell you that I booked a Ohana Hotel more than thirty days ahead and got the discount. It's listed on their website as the "Travel Club" rate. And it was definately cheaper to use the rental car coupons and the entertainment book discount than it was to book the package. The other nice thing is that these reservations can be canceled. The package plans require payment up front and are non refundable.

Just an FYI
I just called Nicks Fishmarket 808-879-7224(on Maui) and spoke to a lady name Patricia who stated they DO NOT accept the Entertainment Book coupon, because they are NOT affiliated with the other Nicks....Hope this is helpful...
