Entertainment Book
Hi, how valuable is this book? We have never used this in Hawaii. But, have decided to try it out.We are mainly interested in hotels, points of interest, and nice restaurants. Thanks very much for replying.

On the entertainment.com website you can now check out the offers before you even buy the book.
You can also call hotels and check on the entertainment rate, see if it saves you a few bucks a day. Then you can purchase the book so that you're a member when you arrive. Only takes a week or so in the mail.

I usually buy a copy of the Los Angeles book every year, but I don't think it's really useful for hotel rates. The rate is generally a discount off the rack rate which is the highest rate for a room. You could probably do better for hotel deals with AAA, Expedia, Priceline, etc. to try and get a good hotel deal. As far as restaurants go, the book is a good deal if you get buy one, get one free and you plan to eat at the restaurants in th ebook. Also, check for the other discounts for the things you want to do. You can probably look at it first. Good luck.

I purchased the book the Hawaii book although I was only going to Maui. Wasn't thrilled with the places they were discounting including ice cream , burgers, etc. That wasn't what I was looking for. I paid $35 for the book and they were nice about refunding me my money if you want to look at it.

We are going to Maui again in May. I purchased the Hawaii book on special for $25 and free shipping. There are several buy-one-get-one-free coupons for Roy's in Kihei and Kapalua and also for the Rusty Harpoon in Whaler's Village. Since we enjoyed all of these on our last trip, I knew I would get back more than what I paid just on these restaurants. There were also several others in Lahaina that we might try.

I purchased one for the first time (travelling to Maui only late March/early April) and I almost sent it back. Then I looked again and there were enough offers to sort of break even or maybe even save a little. If you are going to Oahu/Waikiki there seemed to be alot of offers for places there. I have been to Maui a few times and know what I like. In order to use most of the restaurant 2 for 1's, I would have to be trying new places etc... (obviously the whole point!)
