I don't know of a hotel within walking distance, but last year we stayed at the Coronado and they had busses that left every 30 minutes for the Disney venues including Downtown Disney.
It was a great hotel and the bus service was excellent.

Both the Grosvenor Resort and the Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort (formerly the Courtyard by Marriott) claim to be direcly across the street from Downtown Disney. The Best Western Lake Buena Vista and Doubletree are a 10-15 min. walk. You can find more info at www.wdwinfo.com.

We stayed at the Hilton and you can walk to downtown disney. It will take about 10 minutes. This was a very nice property.

The closest Disney hotel is Saratoga Springs. Also, Port Orleans and Old Key West have boat service to and from. All disney hotels have bus service to and from. There are several non-disney owned hotels across the street, I believe it's International Drive but someone can correct me on that....
