I'm assuming you're asking only about Hollywood because that's all you're familiar with in terms of the LA area? If so, I would recommend you read the LA section on www.frommers.com for ideas on areas to see and things to do. Hollywood itself is not much to see and will take you an hour. However, LA is a huge spread out city with lots to offer (the Getty, Santa Monica, Venice Beach, West Hollywood cafes, Universal Citywalk, many museums and parks, etc). Since you'll be in Orange County, you may be interested in checking out Laguna Beach as well.
