Disneyland crowds in June?

I'm thinking about a Disneyland trip in early June, like the first week. I'm wondering if the crowds have really started yet. If anyone has been there at that time I'd love to hear about it.

Disney in June? Are you kidding??? It's packed starting at Memorial Day and running through Labor Day.

I recall in June, there are many "senior ditch days" to Disneyland. The summer crowds do tend to start in late may, and run all summer, as Jan said. Some days are better than others, with weekends of course, being the worst.

It can't be as bad as mid July though right? Most kids aren't out of school yet. Would you say the big ticket rides would have a 20 min. wait or would it be longer? Sorry to ask so many questions. We usually go in March but I don't think we will be able to this year.

It's June, it's warm, and you can count on not being lonely at Disneyland that time of year. I suggest just playing the odds, avoid the weekends, and since I'm guessing that most people take either a Monday or Friday off work to take their kids there to make it a three day weekend, perhaps the best bet would be a Tuesday, Weds, or Thurs? Even better to go on a rainy day if there is one, June rains in So Cal are very light mistings and the temp remains comfortable, but it is enough to keep many of the water-averse locals to postpone their visit for the next day.

Sandy, it is pretty common now for schools to get out at the end of May.

We took our nephews from out of state to Disneyland last June (about the wnd week) and it was fine. There were quite a few people there but nothing that we couldn't handle and the boys had a great time - so did we! Many CA schools don't get out until about the 2nd or 3rd week in June. They do have school outings (many at night) that time of year tho.

School is out here in May. With Cal. Adventures now the crowds are a little more spread out. If you go during the week instead of the weekend it will still be fun. Use the fast passes for the big rides and kind of plan a route ahead of time. If you get a three or 5 day pass you don't feel as much pressure to fit it all in at once and can relax a little more, leave early if you want and eat outside to save $.

We went to Disneyland two years ago in early June and I was surprised at how crowded it was. I believe we went on a Friday (it was definitely a weekday). As others have stated, there were many school groups there that day, during the day. It was definitely better than trips we've made in mid-July (I'll never go to Disneyland in the summer again ...) but definitely crowded. The Fast Pass system works great and we didn't have long waits for those rides. Basically, it was just a problem dealing with crowds while walking from one place to another and that interminable Dumbo ride.

Okay, we've been at several different times. We've been in March twice. First time, it sprinkled on/off and it was empty. Last year in March the weather was beautiful (75 degrees) and it was packed from about 1-9pm. We actually skipped out at about 1:30pm, and didn't return until about 7:00pm. That time we had 45 min (with Fast Pass) waits on the Autopia, and all the other "medium" rides. All the "big" rides were at least 1 1/2hours. We didn't even ride Matterhorn because the lines were so long. We've also been August and will NEVER go there at that time of year again. I can't even tell you how bad it was! People were staking out their spots for Fantasmic 4 hours prior to the start time (not kidding). As far as June goes, I would think that it will be bad 7 days/week all summer long. Our kids (Sacramento) get out on June 5. The trips in March we went during the week and on weekend. The August trip was mid-week.

Sounds as if it's pretty crowded in early June. I was hoping to combine a DL trip w/ a trip to San Diego Zoo, if we go in March we wouldn't be able to be gone as long due to school. One time though we went in March and it was the National Cheerleader Comp. and it was just packed! So I guess you never know.
