Is the PA still that awful? I haven;t heard anything lately. Still rodents and bugs? Or have they cleaned it up at all?

I'm not really that concerned about the hotel. We will be in there such a little amount of time. We will get back both nights around midnight and be ready to go the next morning by around 7:30. It is truly just a place to get a few hours sleep, and they gave us a great group rate. Hard to beat 195 per night for the location.

The Hotel Pennsylvania is an old, tired hotel that will probably be shuttered soon and fully renovated. For now, it's still pretty grim but probably suitable for junior high school students who won't be spending much time there. I would add, however, that it doesn't make the cut for Fodor's. It ranks too low in too many quality categories.

I'm not sure if it's relevant, but the Westminster Kennel Club still used the hotel recently, though most handlers opted for the New Yorker.
