Does anyone know of a diner maybe called starlight diner cafe or ellens starlight diner in nyc where the staff sings - please help!!!!!

absolutely horrendous food, too

WARNING re Ellens; Three friends and I made the mistake of having lunch there one day (I work in Midtown) and all four of became extremely sick! One friend was even hospitalized overnight.

The food is truly awful, and the two times I went there (yes, I HAD to go back because a group of friends were in town and insisted on it) no one was singing like they're supposed to! Awful.

Zagat's rated it WORST for food in NY.

Been there a few times hoping that each time it will be better. No f*##ing way!. Avoid it like the plaque.

Well you don't have to worry because the restaurant is now gone, the entire building was taken down recently and there is construction starting.

The food was not great but it was fun to see the wantabee rising stars singing.

The building is still there. Passed it yesterday. AVOID IT!

This is the second time in the past few weeks you wrote that the building housing Ellen"s Stardust Diner has been torn down. 'You have the wrong building. Ellen's is still open and the building is still there.

Walking into this place should be enough to turn you right back around. Service staff hula hooping and singing into ketchup bottles. The food is something my dog would turn his nose up at and then probably bite me just for trying to serve it to him. Out of sympathy for his current situation, after seeing him singing into a bottle of Heinz, we tipped him well, hoping he would be able to leave this "second ring of hell". Close and do us all a favor. Someone get the HOOK!
