Delicate Arch for Kids?

Is Delicate Arch hike too much for 10 and 8 year old boys? A few people we've talked to thought the uphill hike and the narrow ledge is too much for their age, which surprised me. We are here now and had it on our list...

This is the very end of the hike. For the most part it’s steep, but it doesn’t get this narrow until the very end. My kids loved this hike, they want to do it again. Colors are amazing before the sunset!

Do it. The narrow ledge is not that narrow. I've seen 80 year olds do that hike, no idea why an energetic 8 and 10 year wouldn't be able to make it.

And I’ve seen on the way down a woman in a dress and high heels going up there. Some are just determined to look good, regardless of the whereabouts…

I agree with you, that’s why I posted this picture so the OP can see it, rather than trying to imagine it

We have seen so many kids on this hike! It is not a difficult hike at all and the ledges are not too narrow. You are hearing it from an avid hiker (me) who is desperately afraid of heights and especially, open ledges. 😊

If I can do it, anyone can.

Kids that age will have no problem. I wouldn’t hesitate to take them. It’s really not that narrow.
