DC -- drinks after work for thirtysomething women?

I'd go to DC Coast. Good spot for happy hour, particularly for 30somethings, and the food's great.
Old Ebbitt can be touristy, but it can also be fun. Just depends on the day.
Hotel Washington is strictly touristy. I always take visitors up there because of the view, but it's not really the place to go for happy hour.
I'd stay away from Sequoia and any other place at the Georgetown waterfront--overpriced drinks, bad food, and lots of guys who obviously only recently got rid of their mullets, and women who secretly still think that acid wash jeans look fabulous.

Wow. I leave for a day and look at all that's transpired! To settle you a bit, no, we're absolutely not looking for a John; I thought I had made our disposition clear by painting us as boring suit-type people. We're professionals who don't like mullets...
Thanks for all these great suggestions. Topaz seems to be a favorite, and I've heard of DC Coast as well. Will likely give those a turn...
