Courtyard Marriott Manhattan Time Square

Has anyone been to this hotel? I got a room for $99.00 a night for three nights during Christmas and I wonder why it's so cheap.
Thanks!

Yes, I've stayed there and it is nice...typical Courtyard rooms...clean but not fancy. As a former Revenue Manager for Marriott, my best guess as to why the room is so cheap is that the Revenue Manager didn't do their job and close out the lower rates...definitely book it if you haven't already as I'm sure they will notice the mistake soon and close out the rate. Christmas is my all time favorite time in NYC! Enjoy your visit!!

I agree with travelgirl. I've stayed at that Marriott a couple of times when traveling for work in NYC. Typical Marriott, and great location if you want to be in the thick of things, too.! If you can get it for $99, I'd grab it.

A few years ago it seemed you could really get good rates in NYC for the couple days actually including Christmas Eve and Christmas night, but it seems not so any more. Depending on your dates, I think you've found one of those remaining bargains. I inserted December 24 to December 27 and see your hotel for $99 a night on Christmas Eve and Christmas night, but then it jumps to $ 299 a night on the 26th!!! Grab it quick if you can get all your nights at $99.

Yes, I have it for Dec. 23,24 & 25th for 99.00 but, it does jump to 226.00 on the 26th and It's that amount before those dates as well. I have the Belevedare for 160.00 for two nights on the 21st-22nd and then 160.00 on the 26th but, it jumps to 250.00 on the 27th so, I'm trying to find another bargain for the 26th & 27th. I know that's going to be alot of hopping around but, I want to save some money.

Trisha: since you're staying 7 nights, you may want to call the hotel directly (ask for in-house reservations as the hotel uses centeral res for most calls). Ask the Res Mgr if they have a long term stay rate.

I just took a peek @ the CY site and you can stay at the Midtown CY on 12/21 for 5 nights @ the AAA rate of $129. If you did that and then transferred to the Belevedere for your last 2 nights, you could cut down on the moves. The last 2 nights at the Midtown CY would be $279/night...you may be willing to pay that extra $29 a night to not move. I stayed at the Midtown CY in May and was pleased with the hotel. It was in a good location...my mother and I walked to Times Square from the hotel in about 20 minutes. It's also near a couple subway stops. Just a thought.

Trisha, congratulations and thank you. Based on your post I just booked us for two nights. Now all I have to do is to find inexpensive air fares. I can always cancel this reservation until the day we suppose to arrive there

Thanks again Travelgirl, I'll look into your suggestion right now.
Pat2003- You are welcome! I'm glad that worked out for you. I don't know where you are from but, I'm from Austin Texas and a cheap fare is what started this. I got a fare to LGA for $223.00 with tax so, I was thinking I won't buy unless I can get a bargain hotel. I can also , do Priceline which I may consider as well. Try American Airlines.
