Condo or Timeshare in Maui with great pool

We are going back to Hawaii for 2 weeks this August; we have two boys ages 11 & 9. We are looking for a great timeshare/condo in the Kannapali area. Two years ago we stayed at the Mariott's new Lahina Towers. We really enjoyed the room, resort, pool & location.
Is there anything better in this general area in Kannapali?

The Marriott pool is going through renovation this spring. You may want to check to see when they are going to be finished. They probably have a smaller pool open during this time but the main pool is one of best features of the resort so may be worth checking.

Re. Marriott Kaanapali's pool, they say:

The Super Pool (main pool) will be closed for refurbishment between April 20, 2009 and June 20, 2009. During this time the Lahaina and Napili Pools, as well as the jumping castle and water slide, will be open and available for guests. We thank you for your understanding and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

P.S.

Marriott's new Napili tower opened at the end of January.

The Hyatt at Kaanapali has great pools and water slides for kids. It's also a very beautiful property.

But the Hyatt is a hotel, and the OP was looking for a "condo or timeshare".

Does anyone know if you can use the Ritz Carlton pools if staying at the Kapalua Villas?

Suzette,

You can use the Ritz pools if you stay at the Villas ONLY if you rent through the main rental agency(too early for me to remember the name). If you rent through an owner, you do not have the ability. There are some other perks too, like a discount card at the restaurants and golf.
The Villa rental program is being upgraded, Units are being categorizes as 'Gold' or 'Platinum.' Units that are not upgraded get dropped from the rental pool and Im sure will be discounted for rents on sites like VRBO.
If you do rent through an owner, some of the Villa pools are nice, especially the Bay Villas.
