Columbia to the Frick

Hi,

What's the best way via public transit (cab if there's no easy way) to get from Columbia University to the Frick? During the week.

Thanks.

MTA.info has a trip planner on the right side of the home screen. I also like citymapper.com. Lyft, Uber, taxi are all super available.

Just take the M4 bus, it's real easy and very convenient. It goes down Broadway (starts north of Columbia in Wash Hts), then goes east at top of Central Park and continues down Fifth Ave right where the Frick is. It goes all the way to Penn Stn.

The M3 bus on St. Nicholas Ave, will take you right to the Frick.

mta.info | MTA Neighborhood Maps

Go to this site. Go to Manhattan buses. Look for the M3 downtown on St. Nicholas Ave. I do not the exact corners where it stops.

The other way is take the the Number 1 train downtown. There are a few stop around Columbia. If you want to take a cab from there get off at 79 St. so the cab can take the transverse across Central Park. If you want to walk across the Park, get off at 72 nd. The Frick is at 70th and 5th Ave.
