NYC Parking Subway Help

Hello. Coming to the Big Apple in a few weeks..We will be coming via Lincoln Tunnel. Once we come through the tunnel, we need help finding the closest parking garage to the subway system.. Or at least finding the closest subway entrance(name of or intersections would help) from Lincoln Tunnel..

Where do you want the subway to take you? For example, if you're heading to the museums on the Upper East Side, you should park on the east side of Manhattan. If you're going downtown, you should park near a station that will get you there.

I suggest looking at the subway map to determine what makes the most sense.

As you exit the tunnel to 42 st, there will be a huge multilevel car park in front of you. It's park and lock.

Alternatively, go to iconparking.com and look on their map. The closest subway entrance to the exit of the Lincoln Tunnel is at Port Authority bus terminal, 42 st & 8th ave. but it would help to know where you need to go on the subway as not all stops go to all locations.

Here's the subway map

You'll see the stop that says 42 st Port Authority (blue) will take you uptown (on the west side), downtown and east.

The first 2 stops you mention are all the way downtown. You'd be better coming through the Holland tunnel to get to those. You could either park the car downtown and leave it there for the day using public transport to get around, OR park downtown fist and then move the car uptown. Times Square is right near the Lincoln Tunnel.
