Clean Waikiki Hotel room
I thought I already posted this but I guess it didn't work.
Looking for a clean, bug free, inexpensive hotel/condo walking distance to the Waikiki Beach. I have read different websites and some of the reviews will say that it was great for the price and some of the reviews are just awlful for the same place.
Anyone recently been there?

We stayed at the OHANA Waikiki West in June of this year and it might meet your needs. We had few complaints.

Dawn,
I have stayed at the Pacific Monarch a few times and really like it. It's about 2 blocks from the beach, near International Marketplace, close to many places to eat, etc. I would not suggest upgrading to a full ocean view room. The little additional sliver of ocean was not worth the cost to upgrade from a partial ocean view.
Pacific Monarch is a condo that has studios and one and two bedrooms. I have only stayed at the one bedroom and like the idea of getting up and going into another room so as not to disturb the roommate. It's nice to have a full kitchen even if you're like me and have no intention of cooking on vacation. It's great for having your munchies and drinks. It also has a lanai that you can enter from both the bedroom and the living room.
This place requires lots of research to get the best price. I wish I could think of the place that offered the best price as they beat all others by about $50 a night. The one bedroom (when I last stayed two years ago) was everywhere from $129 a night to over $200.
