Circle J Club-Jeremy Ranch in summer?

We have booked a week at the above-mentioned place for Jun3 26-July 2nd. Can anyone tell me what to expect in summer. I am having difficulty in obtaining lots of info.

We are bringing an 11, 13, & 15 year old with us. My husband & I enjoy golfing, but is the pool large (the only picture I have seen gives the appearance of a very small pool) and is there enough to keep these active youngsters busy?

We love to swim, hike & mountain bike (although we would have to rent the bikes). Weather? is it in the 80's in days, cooler at night?

Any and all info will be greatly appreciated.

My concern is that it may be too quiet for the kids.

Thanks,
Jean

Hi Pumpkin,

Well, I must ask you, what were you thinking? Jeremy Ranch is a residential golf community. It's a nice enough place, but not exactly a resort. It's actually about a 15 - 20 minute drive from Historic Park City.

I am not familiar with the property you have booked so can't say about the pool. I have to assume it's one of the condo complexes there.

Where are you coming from and what is your objective?

I would really recommend lots of other condo complexes, also near golf courses, that would be better for a vacation.

To rent bikes you would have to go to Park City. I think your kids would be bored to tears. There is much to do that they would enjoy in Park City - biking, hiking (although you can do these two from Jeremy if you know where to go), zip lines, alpine slides, horseback riding, movies, etc., etc.

Write back if you have more questions!

Stayed there 2 yrs. ago in the winter, at the time shares which is what I think the Circle J Club is. Condos were OK but had a problem regulating the heat which shouldn't be your problem in the summer. Lots of stairs. Recall that the pool is quite small. Don't think there's much to do onsite for the kids. Park City has a great mine tour and they may enjoy a chairlift ride and some of the stuff at the Olympic Village. Also, Salt Lake City is 45 min. away so there may be things of interest there. While we've been to the area many times, it's always been in the winter to ski so am not much help with summer activities.

Well, I'm stuck now. We've paid for it. Everything I heard was that it was 10 minutes from Park City. We belong to a vacation club and I was trying to find one that had enough room for the 5 of us. Also thought it was only 30 minutes approx. from SLC. I figured if it was a good base for day trips it would be okay.

Anyone have some "up side" to this dilemma?

I've stayed there in the winter too.

Yes, it's about 30-35 minutes away from the airport. And yes it can be as quick as a 10 minute drive from Park City. But that is the edge of Park City. It would probably definitely take another 5 minutes or more to get to the Main street, which is as Dayle says, historic park city.

If you have a car, I really don't think you have to worry too much, although it is a bummer that the kids won't have much to walk to. There's plenty to do if you drive, I'm sure, and it isn't too far. I did the drive every day to ski Park City (sometimes in snowy conditions) and I wasn't fussed at all.
