If you need to pick and choose among the museums, I would definitely choose the Art Institute and the Field Museum over the Planetarium. When I was there the last time, I enjoyed Greektown for lunch- it's nearby and a do-able walk.

After hearing many recommendations for Heaven on Seven here on Fodors, we finally ate there. Very good food--all entrees include their famous gumbo. I had the Halibut and it was delicious.

We had lunch again at the Corner Bakery--I like their salads and sandwiches and there's one right across from my daughter's office.

My daughter also took me to one of her favorite restaurants on Clark St. in Lincoln Park--Toro. She loves their sushi. I've never had sushi--even though here in Akron, Bridgestone is now owned by the Japanese and there are several places that serve it. I thought it was good--but what do I know about sushi. her friends think it is great and it was unbelievably cheap. We had soup, 12 sushi rolls, salad, edimami(??)for $5.99. The girls have a weekly get together there--Tuesdays at Toro's.

We also enjoyed Cafe Ba Ba Reeba. We sat in the courtyard on a really beautiful evening and enjoyed sangria and tapas. Fun place to take a group.
