On Randolph Street try Marche and Vivo. Love them both. Just went to Pili Pili, which is new. I thought it was very good. MK is also very hot and good.

Spring is absolutely my favorite restaurant and it is in a fun, funky neighborhood. Reserve early!

For real Chicago pizza I recommend Giordano's on Rush Street.

I second the vote for Spring! Wonderful restuarant...Food is truly amazing..and the service is top notch..I agree..make reservations EARLY..2 weeks in advance is normal..you can go on www.metromix.com to check it out...also to check out other restuarants in Chicago...

Good Luck!

I love Erwin in Lincoln Park. It's a great place to enjoy wonderful food and service without the gouging prices and attitude-ridden service of a lot of "nice" Chicago restaurants.

I agree with jende. I love Erwin's. A short cab ride from North Michigan Avenue. Also you will be in a real neighborhood that most tourists don't venture to. After Erwin's you can walk one block west and go to Pop's for Champagne for champagne and live music, or there is a more low key wine bar right next to it. Great night out!

I second Dori's recommendation about Pop's. There's usually low-key jazz entertainment there, and it's intimate. Also, I think you can get dessert there, so you might consider having dinner somewhere, and then stopping at Pop's for the entertainment and a glass of champagne with dessert. You could do worse.
