Cheap breakfast on the BI and Maui?

My fiance and I will be on the BI and Maui this summer, and I was wondering if you had any recommendations for cheap, good breakfasts on these 2 islands. On the BI, we are staying at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel: 1 morning we will be heading off to VNP -- any breakfast places on the way? On Maui, we will be staying at the Hyatt on Kaanapali. Thanks!

There is a Starbuck's~o) in Waimea, and I believe I saw a McDonaldsif fast food is OK on the BI, and on Maui highly recommend the less than 1hourdrive to Charley's((&)) in Paia, convenient if your going to explore the road to Hana that day, highly recommend the delicious macadamia nut pancakes be sure to ask for coconut syrup.

BI: Tex's Drive In, near Honokaa, makes these wonderful things called Malasadas. They are like a big donut, but more dense. They have a choice of about 5 fillings (we did the bavarian creme) and they were HEAVENLY! The Drive In also has a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items, too.

Since Charley's is neither close nor specifically "cheap." For the same prices as Charley's you can go up the the Plantation house and enjoy an incredible view with your breakfast. While I like Charleys, it's not worth a special trip. For around $10 you can enjoy a crab cake or ahi sashimi benedict.

Some suggestions specific to your question on Maui:

CJ's Deli in Ka`anapali, $5-8
Soup, Nutz and Jazz in Honokowai, breakfasts starting at $5.95
Honalua Store, local style, $4-5, two scoop rice, Portuguese sausage, the works
Sunrise Cafe, Lahaina, cheap, busy, the kind of place your dad likes to eat at (that's a good thing)
Hecocks, omelettes around $6.50, shrimp scampi omlette is a bit more
Lahaina Coolers, $8-9

Some would recommend the Gazebo, at under $10, but the place is vey small and unless you get there early, be prepared to wait, or order your food to go.

Sorry for that first paragraph. It's still rather early here. I meant to say:

"For around $10 you can enjoy a crab cake or ahi sashimi benedict at the Plantation House."

There are lots of inexpensive breakfast places in Waimea. Our favorite is the Paniolo Country Inn. Waimea is right on the way to VNP, if you're taking the northern route from Waikoloa.
