Breakfast on the Big Island and Maui

Any good places to have breakfast on the Big Island and on Maui without breaking the bank ? (We like to eat all kinds of food). We're flying in late the night before and won't have a chance to stock up on groceries for the room yet.

We liked the Pioneer Inn on Wharf Street in Lahaina. Very inexpensive, food was good, fresh and hot. Service staff was very friendly and efficient. This is on Maui and I'm not sure in what area you are staying though.

Aloha Milllie924..
My favorite for breakfast on Maui is the Plantation House in Kapalua right on the golf course and the breakfast, lunch or dinner is always outstanding..
I always get the Salmon Benedict for around $9-10 bucks..for Maui this is great and the views are out of this world..
The place is never crowded but I go around 9-10am..
I also like the Gazebo in Napili..right on the water and a real local place with good cheap food..
I don't know where you are staying in Maui since this is on the North side past Lahaina..
Have a wonderful trip!

My favorite place for breakfast on the Big Island is Aloha Angel Cafe in the small plantation town of Kainaliu, a bit south of Kailua-Kona. The cafe is built on the side of a historic theater. It's open air, with a tin roof and lots of tropical foilage. Food is excellent!

The Gazebo on Maui is a great place, expect a line, though. My wife adores the Macadamia Nut, pineapple, coconut pancakes.

was just on Maui a couple weeks ago- and went twice to Java Jazz- sort of an offbeat place- most prices around $9-12. In Honokowai, just north of Kaanapali, in the Star Market shopping center.

Hi Bikom..
That's what I get at the Gazebo..
The best Macadamia Nut, pineapple, coconut pancakes!!
They line starts early and doesn't stop until closing but it is so good..
I never had to wait more than a half hour..
I gotta tell you that the Plantation House is outstanding..If you get a chance, that is where the deal is..

Hi TahitiTams, La Jolla AND The Gazebo? We're not related, are we? I noticed the other thread asked for you specifically, do you live in La Jolla? I'm in Los Angeles, but have worked in San Diego area over the last few summers.

Another vote for The Gazebo (located at the Napili Shores condos). Get there early, they start serving at 7:30 but the line starts forming about 7:15 a.m. We went there twice during our visit to Maui in June.
