Charleston: Restaurant for 30 somethings

There will be 8 to 10 of us on a Friday night. Where would you go for dinner that is great atmosphere, great bar menu (wine and beer and mixed drinks) then good entrees that you can't get elswhere?

I am worried a few friends will be upset about price. but, I figure if they want to skip out they can since we are all there for a week together.

I think 20 entree range is a good ballpark.

We really enjoyed eating at Magnolia's. I can't remember their prices, but it may be slightly higher than what you're looking for. I think you can check out their menu online. I'd highly recommend it.

I'm thinking Hank's might work for you. I've had good meals there and would say that the atmosphere is lively - though I don't know what kind of group yours is. They have a large community table that always looks fun. I would think that SNOB or High Cotton would work, too. I don't think that any of these places is 'cheap' but not a bad value. The Vendue Roof and/or Market Pavilion Roof are good places to meet for either a before or after dinner drink if you all don't dine together. My DH's favorite is still Magnolia's; they have a back room where you might all be able to talk/laugh/etc.

If you do a search of Charleston restaurants on fodors you will get tons of information. There are so many good places that fitting them in during a trip is hard!
