Celine or "O" ? Need help please
I'll be in Vegas with friends the first week in Feb. After checking show schedules, both shows are performing only once during our stay and they are on the same night. The only tickets we can find for Celine are in the very top, in the very back. I would rather not watch her on a video screen, if this is the case with these seats. The only seats available for "O" are considered limited view, in center on top Mezz. in front row. They told us the railing is in front of the seats. Has anyone been to both, or been in the area of any of these seats. We are trying to choose between the two.We are not die hard Celine fans, just with all the hype thought it may be a good show, but then heard some neg. feedback. Don't know a lot about "O" but heard good comments. As you can tell this trip was planned last minute, and I need to make quick decisions, I'm afraid the shows will sell out. ANY input is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Winnie, we've been to both, and both were incredible. I was not a diehard Celine fan either, but I am now. She is an incredibly hardworking and sincere woman with one of the greatest voices ever! She gives you everything she's got. The director and designer is the same who does Cirque du Soleil, so if you like Cirque you should like this show as well. The Coliseum is a large venue but all the seats have a very good view of the stage, no matter how high up you are, with staggered, stadium seating.
"O" was one of the most moving theater experiences I have ever had. The water feature was used in the most creative way possible and the live music was haunting. Center top Mezzanine doesn't sound too bad, you can always lean forward if there's something you can't see. Actually I think that show is better seen from a balcony than on the main floor.
Tickets for both events are expensive. Have you ever seen any Cirque du Soleil? It is very abstract and arty (think Magritte). If you like this sort of thing you will love "O".
It's a hard choice to make, but, happily, both are equally good so I don't think you can go wrong.

I've heard the Celine show is good, but I would recommend O. I haven't seen Celine, so I can't compare the 2, but O is one of the best shows in town. I agree with Maggi 100% on her take on the show. I also prefer the balcony section because you get to see everything happening on, and under, the stage. It truly is an amazing show that will leave you breathless and wanting more. You can't go wrong with either show. Both are unique Vegas creations, so enjoy!

We saw Celine, O and Zumanity in Vegas a few weeks ago. All were very good and I think you will love either Celine or O.
Overall, I tend to gravitate towards the Cirque shows (O was spectacular and Zumanity somewhat erotic and spellbinding) rather than Celine (great show, but I can buy her CDs).

We just got home from Vegas last night (trip report forthcoming
and saw O while we were there. It was spectacular but would have loved to have seen Celine. I guess I'd get tickets to Mystere or Zumanity then also see Celine. Think I'm in the minority here but O wasn't the be all and end all that I was anticipating. An hour and a half was plenty (of course we saw the 10:30 p.m. show and I was sleeeepy by midnight...). Agree that balcony tickets for O would be best--we were about midway up and had a good vantage point since the action takes place both high up and down at below stage level.

I haven't seen "O" so I cannot compare the two shows either, but I can highly recommend Celine Dion. We saw it in September and the show is spectacular in every way. We had seats on the second level but I really don't think there is a bad seat in the house.

Hey
We've seen both shows and I would recco O. I've actually seen O 3x and would go for a 4th in a heartbeat. Saw Celine this past Sept and it was a great show, I'm also not a fan but was pleasantly surprised, but O is just incredible. Zumanity also looks great, but have not seen it. Ck eBay for tix for O - you may find a deal. Enjoy Vegas!
