Is the topless show "Jubilee" performing at Bally's any good?

I will be visiting Las Vegas in early Dec and was interested in caberet style (Moulin Rouge) type shows. Any reccomendations? Please help. Thanks.

Saw the topless Jubilee in October and enjoyed it - a very good review. I found it superior (dancing and costumes especially) to Follies at Tropicana, although the "theme" was really no theme. Would recommend it for anyone desiring a look at "old sytle" Las Vegas entertainment.

I saw it and thought it was worth it just to see the beautiful costumes and the dancing was great... Don't let them to try to sell you seats at a table down front. The better seats are the theater type seats that are located a bit further back. I also enjoyed the Follies show. They are old fashion Las Vegas shows... The shows "O" and "Mystere" are fabulous. You might consider seeing one of them also. That would give you a variety of different shows.

I had such low expectations for Jubilee! and boy, they were almost met. This is such a mixed up mess of a show. It's got everything but the kitchen sink (no magic, no monkees - but almost everything else).

It's not worth the price of admission ($60) - but I noticed on my way to the theater at 10pm, via the neon tunnel/moving walkway, that they were selling last minute tickets for $5!! This was a Wednesday and the house was NOT sold out.

As for the show - Bob Mackie's costumes are cool in a retro way - but many of the song and dance numbers are soooo tired. And shouldn't they really retire that 50+ year old dancer? Her body is still tops, but it's still awkward to watch.

The topless aspect is rather humorous. I kept flashing back to memories of my uncle sharing stories about old shows in Reno where you could "see everything". I'm sure it was exciting in 1960, but now it just seems demeaning.

The highlights of the show are actually the insterstitial small acts that take place during set changes.

The big beefy guys who swing from draping fabric, with nothing holding them up but their firm grip is very Cirque du Soleil - and worth more than the hackneyed cabaret acts.

Sorry, SFImporter, but I totally disagree with your take on "Jubilee". We've been to LV many times and had never seen it, but stayed at Bally's last month and got a package that included 2 for 1 tix. Were we surprised! It was VERY entertaining, the topless aspect was NOT at all in your face or demeaning. In fact, you forgot after a while that they were topless (and some numbers were clothed) and just enjoyed the entertainment. We thought it was excellent, far better than many of the $100 plus per ticket shows we've seen.

I saw this show several years ago only because I had free tickets as part of my hotel package. Did not care for it at all - pretty corny and boring. But if you do like those types of shows generally, I think that Jubilee is probably one of the better ones.
