Cambridge MA hotels

Picking between the Cambridge Marriott and the Hampton Inn. Traveling with toddler and will be at Fenwy at some point over weekend. Preferences/comments? Thanks!

Definitely the Marriott. It's in Kendall Sq, not much to do at night but it's right across from a T stop. The Hampton Inn I believe is on McGrath Hgwy, not a great place to be.

cigalechanta,
Always love your stories so I would love your advice. site59 has a good deal on Cambridge - hotel MArlowe, Royal Sonesta Hotel, Hyatt Regency Cambridge .
Or Boston:
Langham Hotel Boston, Hilton Boston Financial (formerly Wyndham), The Onyx Hotel - A Kimpton Hotel, Royal Sonesta Hotel

The Royal Sonesta Hotel is very nice - newly updated rooms. However, we had a problem with their valet as they damaged our rental car and the hotel did very little to help us.

We stayed at Hotel Marlowe last fall. It's a pretty good location across from the Charles River near the Science Museum and attached to the Galleria Mall. We walked to the North End for dinner (about a 20 minute walk). It is in Cambridge but pretty far from Harvard Sq.

The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean (although they had a weird leopard theme in the rooms - quite contemporary). They had a wine reception every night and coffee in the morning.

The prices were pretty reasonable.
