We have stayed 2 different times at the Inn in Carmel that is owed by Clint Eastwood ( I think)- loved it, can't think of the name of it, perhaps someone else can tell you, very reasonable rates

That would be the Mission Ranch, as noted it has double rooms starting at fairly reasonable rates.

SAB - Why did someone recommend TP and than CV Ranch? ***SAB*** Do you really think I can figure that one out?

I haven't been to Rancho Cellars in a long time. Is their stock low? The economy is just dreadful...thanks W.

By the way, Nikki, I wouldn't plan on doing any hiking, nor would I drive down windy Hwy 1 from Big Sur to Cambria, this week. It's supposed to rain like crazy. We're going to have storms this weekend. Not good for the golfers!

Tess - the weather is interfering with our plans too. I am glad for the rain, but we had planned to go hiking along the coast for Valentines Day. Looks like we will have to come up with another plan.

We'll be taking that drive next Tuesday. Hope the weather clears up by then. No hiking in the plans.

NEXT Tuesday? Oh, I thought you said before that it was this week. The golf tournament will be over by then. It's supposed to rain through the 19th.

By the way, Pam mentioned the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary. That's a really great place to visit.

It's a good thing we didn't take this drive today as I had planned. Apparently the road was closed in Big Sur due to mud slides. I'm thinking we may save this drive for our next visit.
