Hi Casper,
There is a pretty wide variety on that part of the coast. It will boil down to your pocket-book (what's your top price per night?) and what YOU would think of as "nice". Want to be on a golf course? Pebble Beach and Spanish Bay are good bets. Want to be away from the tourist hordes? Quail Run (?) Lodge in Carmel Valley. Want to be on the coast, but in a convenient (albeit very touristy) town? There are some quaint smaller hotels in Carmel proper. Want to be pampered on a wilder part of the coast? Post Ranch.

Just stayed three nights at the Post Ranch Inn....truly amazing place...great restaurant...don't miss the property tour with Willy Post, 84-year old whose greatgrandfather homesteaded the property and was in family until now. The place is truly one of the finest in the world!
