Budget/business hotel on Capitol HIll in Washington, DC?

Can anyone recommend a good business/budget hotel near the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill (400 New Jersey Ave NW)? Anything less than $170 would be great.

I'm actually sitting in my Hyatt regency room right now typing this - we got it for $55/night through Priceline - I would recommend using Priceline - good luck!

I agree with Radio -- bid on Priceline for a 3* hotel in the Capitol Hill/Convention center area. According to www.biddingfortravel.com, there are only 3 hotels that PL awards there; I've stayed in the other two (also for $55 per night) and they're also convenient -- the Marriott Metro Center and the Renaissance.

Priceline rates that low usually only get accepted for weekend rooms in DC.

Redroof.com has an inn in the area.

What dates are you looking at?

Dates I'm looking at would be weekdays - about a week - in November. Thanks.

Tracy, right now in the www.biddingfortravel.com list of messages about hotels in Washington DC, the third message, entered yesterday, is from a bidder who got the Hyatt Regency for $50 for Sunday Nov 14 through Wed. Nov 17. Can't get more encouraging than that!

Also look into the Phoenix Park, which is pretty much around the corner from the Hyatt. It's an older hotel--some people love those "classsics" some hate them. But it's worth looking into if you're not in the "hate them" group.
