Long time ago but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. However, I believe it is still considered a "Deluxe" hotel.

I actually stayed there two years ago. The resort is huge. Almost like a little town. The views are breath taking. It is a 5 Star hotel although I thought it was more on the line of a 4 Star. I was dissappointed with the food. It was good but not great. I went horseback riding through the mountains which was unforgettable.

We stayed there last fall and loved it--we had a room with a balcony that overlooked the lake--we slept at night with the doors open, it was wonderful sleeping in that cushy, cozy bed! Beautiful hotel, grounds...and you can walk to Seven Falls from the hotel. Enjoy!

The Broadmoor Hot has always been my "concept" of camping in the mountains.
Fresh raspberries for breakfast is a nice touch.
Enjoy!

Broadmoor is a classicly beautiful old resort that has been well maintained over the years. I spent several summer vacations there years ago and haven't been for some time. The location is magical. Do they still have the train? LMF

I stayed there in Oct 4 yrs ago for a convention. Since we were 4 students/room, I couldn't really enjoy the room itself, but the grounds are breathtaking, the spa - amazing, truly one of the best hotels I've stayed in. I am planning to go there again, now with my husband, to enjoy the hotel grounds and the surrounding area more fully. I would definitely recommend splurging for such a place.
