Breckenridge in July - Where to stay?

I'm thinking about a long weekend in Breckenridge for July 4th. I've been looking for accommodations and have found 500 million condos and no hotels. A condo would be fine, but which one?? We are 2 adults and one small child, want to be within short walking distance to the main street and love hiking. Any recommendations? Thanks!

We were in Breckenridge a couple of years ago and we stayed for a week at the Valdoro condos. We could walk to shops and restaurants and they also had a shuttle van that would take you anywhere in town you wanted to go.

Check out Mountain Thunder Lodge. i stayed there It is first classs with condo and townhouses. There is a lobby, great outdoor pool, two blocks to town but siatuated in a wooded area that makes you feel fa removed from town. Great summer rates including stay 4 nights and get 5th night free

Breckenridge is packed over the Fourth. So you need to get your reservations now and the deals may not be as good.

Another vote for Valdoro Mountain condos...we were there last year over the 4th and it was great. Walk to excellent restaurants, interesting areas along the creek and easy access to hiking trails.

We stayed at the Pineridge condos. I found one on vrbo.com and ended up just booking directly with the management company. We got a great deal! $115 per night for a spacious, well appointed one bedroom. The condos are a block or so off Main Street behind the visitors center. Excellent location! I'd stay there again, especially if I could get the same price.

Yep, FMPDEN, we are! I was the original poster. I just thought I'd let people know where we stayed.
