Across the street from Faneuil Hall is the Marriott (located in the old Customs House) and the Harborside Inn. I can highly recommend the Harborside. I stayed there a couple of months ago and will be back next week. Reasonable rates, comfortable rooms and a stone's throw to Faneuil Hall.
Have a GREAT trip.

The Millennium Bostonian is currently undergoing total renovation. And, it's high time.
We had reservations there a couple of years ago. This is the only hotel we've ever left after seeing the room. Positively awful. At the front desk, we were told other rooms weren't any better. It was a busy weekend in Boston, so we actually drove home rather than stay there.

I've stayed in several hotels in Boston... I get my money's worth at the Courtyard Marriot in Copley!
Will be staying there for the 4th time next week. It't no nonsense, great custormer service, excellent location; 2 T stations very close by, restaurants, shopping, theater. (It doesn't have a spa/pool/excercise room...). Ah! I love Boston!
