Boston Wyndham
I know that there are many posts on this, however, I will remake the wheel for some newer info.
We have reservations at the Wyndham in Boston for July. I am hearing mixed reviews. The price was right as I booked and got the Costco rate of $139 per night. I was looking at the Millenium or the Omni, but the price was right for this hotel.
Did I make a bad choice?

I used to work on Broad St so I know the area well. The hotel is in a renovated building formally known as The Batterymarch Amory. The hotel is a few blocks from Quincy Market (on the other side from the Millenium), the Aquarium and the Waterfront. Broad Street terminates at State Street at one end and International Place at the other. Basically in the Financial District so there are lots of skyscrapers nearby but the street itself is very old - there are buildings that were once warehouses designed by Bullfinch, the Rice Exchange building is very attractive and the Customs House claims to be the first skyscraper in the US. Walking distance to the North End. There's a playground in Christopher Columbus Park on the waterfront between the Marriott and the North End for your toddler.
All in all I think you got a very good price because this is essentially a business hotel. You are in a very convenient location albeit a less touristy street than being in the Back Bay.
